On 26th and 27th April Dr Nick Thorpe (part of the Search for Alfred the Great team ) will be presenting the recent fascinating scientific discoveries at Hyde and Professor Barbara Yorke will be providing the wider context of “Alfred in Myth and History” , it is being organised jointly by the University of Winchester, Winchester Excavations Committee and Winchester College.
